Why should my son join Hopatcong Pack 88?

 

Pack 88 helps build lasting friendship while promoting awareness of our community and environment.We promote good sportsmanship and participation in extracurricular activities including all schoolsponsored sports.

We have official Den and Pack meetings throughout the school year. Pack 88 encourages participationin our Summertime Activities which include family camping trips, Skyhawk Baseball games,Cub Scout Summer Camp and hikes to name a few.

From September until May Pack 88 will participate in:

Community cleanups for our neighbors who need a little extra help

Hopatcong Days parade

Memorial Day parade

Sailboat Raingutter Regatta

Pinewood Derby

Holiday party where we will make ornaments for seniors at Merry Heart Nursing Home

Caroling at Merry Heart Nursing Home

Pack 88 consists of 47 boys:
1st grade–Tiger Den
2nd grade–Wolf Den
3rd grade–Bear Den
4th grade–1st year Webelos
5th grade–2nd year Webelos


Meetings are held at age appropriate schools for the boys; Tigers, Wolfs, Webelos meet at the Hopatcong Middle School once a week.Once a month there will be a Pack meeting with all Dens, at this time boys will learn about upcomingfundraisers, trips etc. This is also an important family event since boys will receive awards for completion of certain achievements.
